Inspired...

...by Moot Court and Beck, I give you:

"Counsel's Table with a Microphone"

(to the tune of Beck's "Where It's At")

There's a destination in the middle of the room
Where they ask us questions on the law we know
A place they ask for the facts too
Your speech gets fast and the time ticks slow
Pulling out lines from Tournament handouts
Reading them to us on the microphone
Barrister man, just raise your hand, please raise your hand.

He said--
"Where you at?"
--The counsel's table with a microphone.
"No, where you at?"
--The trial record at the last footnote.

Petitioner's up and she's on a roll
She's seducing all the judges like Samantha Jones
Mentions "stare" and "decisis"
She rolls through the roadmap as she Shepardizes
Whines and boos with the Lanham Acts blues
To their questions in her Parrot's World suits.
"Avian Munchies from coast to coast!"
Is Respondent's rebuttal since I rock the most.

He said--
"Where you at?"
--The counsel's table with a microphone.
"No, where you at?"
--The First Amendment on your microphone.
